A Modern and Spacious Renovation

The design of the Residence of Yang takes advantage of the existing beam column structure, turning its limitations into strengths. The public area features an open partition design, allowing for a smooth and comfortable circulation throughout the space. The living room and dining room are seamlessly connected, creating a spacious and enlarged home experience.

One of the standout features of this design is the inclined TV wall that follows the beam and column structure. This unconventional design breaks the formalized concept of a wall and provides more space for the residents. The TV wall serves both the living room and the dining room, allowing family members to share the fun of audio and video and fostering interaction and connection.

The color scheme of the Residence of Yang is dominated by white and natural wood grain. This combination creates a bright and spacious interior while also providing a warm and inviting atmosphere. The introduction of lighting on both sides of the public area further enhances the brightness and spaciousness of the space. The use of wood grain adds a touch of nature, giving the residents a practical feeling of being in a natural environment.

In terms of functionality, the Residence of Yang prioritizes the needs of the family members. The open layout of the public area allows for complete visibility and easy communication among family members. The dining table is strategically placed in the corner, providing flexibility and choices for family meals.

The renovation of the Residence of Yang presented several challenges, particularly in terms of reorganizing the foundation engineering and addressing moisture-proofing and pipeline rearrangement. However, through careful planning and execution, these challenges were overcome, resulting in a successful transformation of the old house.

The Residence of Yang was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2020 in the category of Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design. This prestigious award recognizes the design's practicality, innovation, and adherence to professional and industrial requirements. The Residence of Yang stands out for its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world and providing a fulfilling living experience.
